Brainstorming:
I wonder if I can get the hardware store to make the wooden letters.. I can paint them then glue them onto a picture frame and Dan can paint a monkey behind it.. Something like this

Hobby Lobby in the wood working section. I just made signs for the wedding using wooden letters almost just like that! They are only like $1.50 too!
